Moving to Detroit

August 21st is one of those days that will go down in history (or at least my personal history).  It marks moving day, the day I moved from Albion to Downtown Detroit.  That’s right, I live downtown Detroit.  Moving day went well especially because of my wonderful mom and sister.  I would have been a little lots puppy without them. I now call Detroit City Apartments home.  My one bedroom, 700 square foot home get the title as “My First Place.”

I moved in on a Tuesday which gave me 5 whole days to get settled, explore, make shopping trips and get prepared for the excitement that was about to start…Challenge Detroit.  I spent the week running, went on a shopping trip with Emily and Ian, checked out a few coffee shops and relaxing.  It was a great way to get acclimated to my new place. There is plenty of decorating to do still but here are a few photos

Challenge Detroit orientation week is right around the corner.  Check back at the end of week for all the exciting things that are to come during orientation week. I have a feeling I won’t be sleeping very well in anticipation of Monday morning
