8am and we're ready to set out on our 55 mile ride, smiles and all.

Today, Dad and I rode our bikes. We both ride in general because we enjoy it and it keeps us fit.  But today’s ride was special because not only were we riding for us but we were also riding to honor those that we know that can’t ride.

30 miles down, 25 to go. A quick ride on the Ironton Ferry before tackling the last few miles.

To honor our family members that have lost their fight with cancer and send strength to one that is currently fighting. For loving mothers and grandmothers, Marian and Bridget, and a devoted brother and uncle Tom and for Miss B, beautiful niece and cousin.  Marian, Bridget and Tom you are greatly missed and Miss B, we’d bike those miles all over again to make your ‘sick bumps’ go away.

4 hours later, we've logged 56 miles. Still smiling, a beautiful day for riding in northern Michigan.
